World of Favorites is a Ray Conniff anthology manufactured exclusively for members of the Columbia House Record Club. A disproportionate number of cuts are taken from Conniff's 1960 album, Concert in Rhythm, Vol. 2, while the rest are drawn from Rhapsody in Rhythm; Happiness Is; Somebody Loves Me; Speak to Me of Love; and You Make Me Feel So Young. As an anthology, World of Favorites doesn't represent the best or most popular of Conniff's music, and fans will already have all of the songs on the original albums. What was once a cheap premium for Columbia House subscribers is now, at best, a disposable discographical item for Ray Conniff obsessors.
