There are a lot of obscurities included in this generous 18-selection LP from the collector's label Broadway Intermission. Certainly these performances from Jackie Sounder's Orchestra, singer Irene Beasley, the Garden Dancing Palace Orchestra and Carson Robison's Kansas City Jack Rabbits are not too well-known. In addition there are four songs from the odd saxophonist Boyd Senter, two titles apiece from Phil Napoleon and Joe Venuti's Orchestra and a pair of songs from Kay Kyser's 1929 band that are actually pretty hot. This hard-to-find album will be a delight for fans of the era.
