Actor Matthias Schweighöfer stars in, co-wrote, produced, and directed the hit romantic comedy What a Man, so it comes as no surprise that he's also had a large hand in selecting the music for its soundtrack. The album, which climbed to number 15 in the German charts, features three new songs: pop darling and Eurovision Song Contest winner Lena covers Linda Lyndell's soul classic "What a Man," singer Philipp Poisel offers the ballad "Eiserner Steg," and Marlon Roudette (of Mattafix) contributes the song "New Age," which topped the German singles charts. Among the album's previously released tracks are Patrick Watson's indie pop song "The Great Escape," Booka Shade's electro number "Night Falls," and the retro soul of "Mon Amour" by Ben l'Oncle Soul.
