Vocalist Angie Miller first caught the attention of music fans on season 12 of the popular musical competition series American Idol, where she impressed viewers with her way with a pop song and finished the competition in third place. Having completing her run on American Idol 18 months previously, Miller reveals a new side of her musical personality with her first EP, a six-song effort titled Weathered. Produced by the production team Red Decibel (Adam Watts and Andy Dodd), Weathered features a tougher, more rock-oriented sound than fans may expect from Miller, as well as a more mature emotional perspective. Financed by her fans through a Pledge Music crowdfunding campaign, Weathered finds Miller embracing the freedom to take her talent in whatever direction she chooses, instead of being at the mercy of a major label's A&R team, and the result is an intriguing debut from a new artist on the rise. Selections include "Miles," "Lost in the Sound," "This Is the Life," and more.
