Recorded live in concert at the Montreal Forum in November 1981 (over two nights), We Will Rock You is an excellent document of latter-day Queen in concert. Originally released in 1984 on the Peppermint label, it was out of print for several years until being reissued by Strand as a budget-priced video in 1992. The set list is basically a carbon copy of the one used for their 1980 tour for their smash The Game album, and is comprised of nearly all their hits up until that point. Opening with a "fast" version of "We Will Rock You," the band rocks through such fan favorites as "Play the Game," "Somebody to Love," "Get Down Make Love," "Now I'm Here," "Under Pressure," "Bohemian Rhapsody," and "Another One Bites the Dust." Also included is a more rock-oriented version of "Dragon Attack" (the studio version was more funk-based), the over-the-top "Sheer Heart Attack," the early anthem "Keep Yourself Alive," as well as such ballads as "Save Me" and "Love of My Life." Although overdubs are blatantly evident in certain parts (Freddie Mercury will be off mic, yet you still hear him singing!), We Will Rock You is one of Queen's best in-concert home videos.
