AllMusic Review by

Diskothiq has been a relatively long-lived band, and it tends to show -- 1996's Waterworld falls into the jangly, melodic mid-ground of indierock that's existed since the earliest days of post-punk. Given this, and the fact that Waterworld is the sound of matured band, it's not surprising that the record lacks bite; its tracks lay out 2-guitar pop in its purest form, and the record's interest tends to lie in its decently appealing composition and its thoroughgoing inoffensiveness.
