AllMusic Review by

Considering the "pick-up" nature of the Now Time Delegation (as of the time of this release, they'd never played live), the band members sound surprisingly comfortable with one another. Working from a foundation of early-'60s soul sounds, the band created Watch for Today in an oeuvre of new millennium punk'n'soul. "Hangin' Tree," written by Tim Kerr, is the strongest original composition on the album, sounding like a modernized plantation spiritual. The band makes short work of several soul classics, most notably Curtis Mayfield's "Keep on Pushin'," which exploits Kekaula's vocal talents to their full potential. An enormously powerful debut album, hopefully Watch for Today is merely the beginning for this band.
