AllMusic Review by

Although the personnel of the Washboard Rhythm Kings changed a bit from session to session, the uninhibited swing, goodtime vocals and spirited ensembles were consistent features of their many recordings. The second CD in this series has four complete sessions from 1932. The sidemen include either Dave Riddick, Taft Jordan or Dave Page on trumpet, Jimmy Shine, Ben Smith and/or Carl Wade on reeds and such rhythm-section players as banjoist Steve Washington and drummer Leo Watson. Not all of the selections are classics but all are quite enjoyable including "You Can Depend on Me," "Was That the Human Thing to Do," "Tiger Rag," "Somebody Stole Gabriel's Horn" and "Sloppy Drunk Blues."
