For what would be Warren Vache's final Concord recording as a leader before he switched labels to Muse, the cornetist is showcased while backed by the Beaux-Arts String Quartet and a rhythm section led by pianist Ben Aronov. The string arrangements of Jack Gale are excellent and perfectly set up Vache's beautiful tone. The emphasis is on slower tempoes and long melody statements with the highlights including "With The Wind And The Rain In Your Hair," "You Go To My Head," "He Loves And She Loves," "A Flower Is A Lovesome Thing" and "Day Dream."
