Give some good love songs to a fine singer such as Zsa Zsa Padilla, and the result is Walang Makakapigil (No One Can Stop), released in the Philippines in 1993. Love songs are eternally popular in this country and Walang Makakapigil (No One Can Stop) has a number of them. An album highlight is "Babalik Ka Ba" (Are You Coming Back), a love song on which Zsa Zsa Padilla navigates the song's tender nuances with delicate strength and then soars as the song reaches its climax. The title song, "Walang Makakapigil" (No One Can Stop), is another standout and is a sophisticated number that Zsa Zsa Padilla sings with grace and sensitivity. The album also contains some upbeat, dance-styled tunes, including the bouncy "Something About You," "Nais Kang Mahalin" (Wanted to Love You), and the catchy "Iba Kung Magmahal" (It's Different the Way He Loves), the latter of which grooves in a sensuous minor key. Zsa Zsa Padilla performs all the dance tunes with confidence and skill. Another fine love song is the duet between her and Joey Generoso on the classy and heartfelt "Think It Over." Walang Makakapigil contains a number of fine moments and is a cohesive, enjoyable affair. It also benefits from having a mixture of love songs and upbeat tunes, as many local albums contain all slow love songs, which can get tedious for a listener.
