AllMusic Review by

Rascal Basket's one and only album release captures their bottom-heavy sludge metal, carried largely by slow, constant riffing and Chris Hillier's vocals. Nothing here better bands such as Monster Magnet or Fudge Tunnel didn't accomplish during the same era, yet fans of this guitar-driven style may want to hunt this album down -- not that many American bands from the mid-'90s were able to craft such a laconic brew of sludge metal as this. Granted, the band slid into oblivion nearly as suddenly as they appeared, making this potentially a quite difficult album to find, but it just might be worth the effort. It's a shame a band this talented (considering this is an indie-released debut) never got much notice.
