Warner UK's Vox Pops Presents 1990s pairs a CD of hits with a DVD of videos for those same singles, offering a nifty little aural and visual time capsule. As it happens, this particular time capsule skews very heavily toward the dance-pop side of the '90s -- something that perhaps should have been evident by the name Vox Pops -- piling up hits by the Beloved, Snow, D:Ream, All-4-One, All Saints, East 17, Mark Morrison, Deee-Lite, Color Me Badd, and Everything But the Girl; balancing them with a few adult pop hits by the Corrs, Simply Red, and Alannah Myles; and touching on Brit-pop with Catatonia's "Road Rage." These aren't necessarily the biggest hits of the '90s, but they do add up to an entertaining snapshot of the British mainstream of the decade.
