Chicago Blues is synonymous with Muddy Waters to most, but the 1930s saw the growth of a superb style based on piano and acoustic guitar. Leroy Carr and Scrapper Blackwell were two of the giants. Big Maceo Merriweather and Tampa Red matched them in a slightly more robust style with greater country links. These are some of the blues' greatest moments.
