Voices of Transgression is a pretty good compilation of Kreator's work for the Noise label during the '90s, featuring several previously unreleased songs and demos in addition to material from 1995's Cause for Conflict, 1996's live Scenarios of Violence, 1997's Outcast, and 1999's Endorama. While licensing restrictions prevent Voices of Transgression from being a definitive overview of their entire career, it does pick and choose many of the highlights from those albums; as such, it makes a fine introduction to their more recent years, when the rawness of Kreator's early sound was tamed and refined, and when the band began to introduce more progressive and experimental elements into their work (some of which worked well, others of which did not). Voices of Transgression is an excellent way to get a handle on that evolution.
