AllMusic Review by

On this, the best of several quite good albums, Mallett provides a feeling examination of the state of a generation now too old to die young. Putting aside "Midnight Madness" and "that whole James Dean thing," he embraces "solid wood and aging wine" among other long-lasting items and finds a way to look bravely into middle age.
