Visions isn't earth-shattering, but it is a standard Don Williams record, which means solid songwriting, spot-on phrasing, and the most laid-back vocal style to ever come out of Nashville. "Time on My Hands" and "Some Broken Hearts Never Mend," in particular, with their easy bounce juxtaposed against a melancholy lyric, are both classic examples of the Williams style of singing.
