AllMusic Review by

Impassioned French pop/rock with a highly melodic edge and lean arrangements, Sanson had obviously absorbed all of the best elements of American pop -- especially singer/songwriters such as Laura Nyro -- that could meld with her style, as both a singer and pianist. Even for non-French-speaking listeners, her passionate singing and the gorgeous melodies can have an effect, making this record's appeal somewhat more universal than one might expect. It was also Sanson's last album of new material for several years, and among her last released on vinyl, which allowed for a hauntingly beautiful cover photo, an element soon to pass into history on the CD.
