What is this? It's likely that the label that released it -- K-Town -- might not even know. But let's take a stab at figuring it out anyway. The disc is called Usher and Friends, Vol. 2, and it's the sequel to a similar compilation carrying Usher's name. (Volumes for Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Master P, Coolio, and 2Pac have also surfaced.) It contains a handful of songs credited to Usher that date back to his days with Nu Beginning (hardcore fans already have them), and they're surrounded by a random assortment of forgotten album cuts, soundtrack appearances, feature roles, and stray clutter from other artists, some of whom have probably never met Usher (so treat the phrase "and Friends" lightly). If that isn't baffling enough, Usher receives an executive producer credit. Does he know this exists? Probably not.
