AllMusic Review by

Though certainly elevated above their debut effort, Up, Up and Away is not a breakthrough. Scattered with a cappella standards that have since been covered by literally dozens of groups, the album's eclecticism ruins any chance of being deemed a classic. There are some powerhouse standouts, however, like the oft-copied arrangements of "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and "My Maria." The liner notes state that the song lineup is a smattering of the group's favorites, original arrangements, and songs that fans told them "had to be" on it. So any consistency of style or mood between songs is nonexistent. Still, the group has enough smooth harmony that listeners will forgive the mood swings.
