This compilation celebrates and recaps ten years of releases on the Extreme label with one track each from ten Extreme artists; the first pressing of Untitled (ten) also includes Untitled (mix), a bonus disc of mixes by Social Interiors (Rik Rue, Shane Fahey and Julian Knowles) which do not appear to be related to the ten tracks on the primary disc, but are instead based on other material from the Extreme vaults. While the mood is fairly dark throughout, there is a pleasing variety of stylistic approaches in evidence, from the reggae-based mood of "The Switchback" by Pablo's Eye to the multi-tracked North African percussion of Ed Pias and Soma's abrasive take on the ambient style. The bonus disc is the best part of this package, though: the Social Interiors guys make a straightforward clubwise move on "Last Strip" and then take a nicely understated drum'n'bass approach with "Potrat." Other tracks move between ambient and dance modes with lots of cool vocal sampling and artful atmospherics. Highly recommended overall.
