AllMusic Review by

Although the 2004 double disc Unholy may appear to be an Overkill anthology, it is not. Rather, it's a U.K. import that compiles two releases in their entirety -- 2002's Wrecking Everything: Live and 2003's Kill Box 13. Long one of thrash metal's top live acts, the veteran band sure does deliver on the first disc, as the intensity of such Overkill classics as "Necroshine," "I Hate," and "Overkill" get taken to the next level on a concert stage. And although Overkill entered their third decade by the dawn of the 21st century, the group has never steered off their original thrash direction (something that cannot be said about the majority of their '80s era brothers in arms), as evidenced throughout the second disc. If you can find Unholy at a fair price, and don't already own Wrecking Everything: Live and Kill Box 13, then by all means, take the plunge!
