With Under Your Sky, artists like Restless Soul, Fauna Flash, Juryman, and Spacek offer sublime remixes of the Underwolves' nu jazz and drum'n'bass masterpiece Under Your Sky. Earthbound's "Bird Song" is a beautiful, slow-tempo, reggae-infused jam that does justice to the Underwolves' Jazzanova Compost Records roots. "Under Your Sky" is given three reworkings, from Origin Unknown's psychedelic drum'n'bass groove to the satisfying funky hip-hop-meets-beat poetry of Divine Styler and Spacek's nu bop treatment. "So Blue It's Black" also dominates with four remixes. Though Heavy Manners' mix doesn't stun quite as much as other entries on the album, Juryman's cinematic reggae version sounds entirely fresh. What's most exciting about Under Your Sky is that each artist has a unique take on the Underwolves' sound while maintaining a consistent, forward-thinking style. In the end, the record takes the Underwolves' primary goal one step beyond, further blurring the lines between genres.
