Coyote Oldman is Michael Graham Allen (flute) and Barry Stramp (electronics), and they are some of the more creative artists on the Native American music scene. Rejecting traditional forms, they nevertheless embody the spirit of the mesas and wide-open skies of the West, with slowly unfurling, reflective pieces designed for relaxation and contemplation. This breathtaking album features an Anasazi flute designed and built by Allen himself, and its sweet, soothing tones will hit listeners right in the gut.
