AllMusic Review by

With a gritty rock & roll sound heavily indebted to the Clash and hometown heroes Oasis, Manchester's Twisted Wheel is heavier and punkier than most of their indie contemporaries, but they are also capable of genuinely reflective moments, like "What's Your Name," seemingly inspired by Pete Doherty's more contemplative side. Their eponymous debut album was produced by Dave Sardy, who worked on Oasis' Don't Believe the Truth and Dig Out Your Soul.
