AllMusic Review by

This budget-priced 10-song CD is fairly enjoyable, and doesn't overlap with MCA's Country Music Hall of Fame."I'm An Old Cowhand (From the Rio Grande)" is a great showcase for the guitar skills of Karl Farr and the fiddle virtuosity of Hugh Farr, and "Song of the Pioneers" is a great vehicle for Karl Farr, one of his best performances on guitar. Other songs include the late 1936 re-recording of "Tumbling Tumbleweeds" by the six-man Pioneers, which is otherwise unavailable on CD, "Cool Water," "Blue Bonnet Girl," "Empty Saddles," and "Blue Prairie." The singing, as always, is impeccable.
