There are a lot of Depeche Mode tribute albums out on the market. Short of the Beatles and the Stones, it is probably one of the groups to whom tribute is paid on the budget-line compilation circuit. But that's where the praise stops and the headaches begin. Simply put, some of the groups that recorded on this 2000 release are plain awful and do Depeche Mode a disservice by recording such haphazard renditions of classic Depeche moments. And while there are some high points (most notably Lights of Euphoria's version of "Waiting for the Night"), they are few and far between. This is for serious, die-hard Depeche Mode fans only. Casual listeners would be better served checking out the group's fantastic greatest-hits compilation for a more accurate portrait.
