AllMusic Review by

Christopher Hollyday's first recording, cut when he was just 14, was issued on his family's private Jazzbeat label. The LP features Hollyday during a period when his biggest influence was Charlie Parker. Hollyday, pianist John Medeski (who would a decade later gain fame with Medeski, Martin & Wood), bassist Nat Reeves and drummer Ron Savage perform some jazz standards, a tune apiece by James Williams and Russ Freeman, and the teenage altoist's "Bop Bop" and "Treaty of Jazz."
