AllMusic Review by

An exhilarating blend of Eastern European-inflected musics loosely tethered to a klezmer attack, with a fondness for opalescent clarinet epiphanies. A studied boozy looseness ("Sicar Mangue Drom," "Nane Tsora") is par for the ethos of the road, but these purported French-based Gypsies are unable to mask a taste for high culture that elevates a ragged Gallic fiddle/wind/accordion troupe to moments of rich ensemble luster. We get breathtaking speed, diversity and transmutation, but we lose the illusion of seat-of-the-pants recklessness that flings the best klezmer airborne.
