One of the loveliest volumes in Delta's Tranquil Moods series, Peace in the Puzzle features solo harp instrumentals by Amy Shreve. Shreve's delicate, textural melodies shine, particularly on pieces like "Invocation," "Apogee," "Diamonds From Dust," and "Twilight Pavan," all of which mix classical technique with a contemporary melodic sense. "Northern Lights" and "Silent Partner" are some of the collection's other highlights. The album's only drawback -- if you can call it that -- is that it is so successful in lulling the listener into a relaxed state that some of the finer points of the music might be missed. Nevertheless, Tranquil Moods: Peace in the Puzzle is a pretty, hypnotic album perfect for deep relaxation.
