Trankazos de Verano 2013 (translation: Huge Summer Hits 2013) is a 12-track collection of long-established artists as well as relative newcomers, all of whom have proven track records on the charts. With material ranging from banda and Mexican regional music to Latin pop, from ballads and narcocorridos to electronic dance-pop, the selection is eclectic and diverse. Highlights on this compilation include Los Angeles' Voz de Mando's pop waltz "Muchacho de Campo," the soulful, reggae-tinged pop of Calibre 50's "Aquí Estoy," the countrified norteño of Joan Sebastían's "La Derrota," the skittering electro of 3BallMTY's "Vive Hoy," and the modern, polished banda of "Mi Razón de Ser" by Banda Sinaloense MS.
