AllMusic Review by

Looping intoxicating trance beats through a mill of techno and dance-pop, Trance Nation 2002 captures some of the year's brightest club hits. Sticking to an Ibiza-style appeal, the double-disc set thrives on pulsating grooves for a party that never ends. A stylish collection of some of dance's biggest stars -- iiO, Kosheen, PPK -- are rounded out by more strict trance numbers from Grayson Shipley, Future Breeze, and Push. The Ministry of Sound has been a mainstay on the dance scene for nearly 20 years and compilations like Trance Nation 2002 showcase its longlasting appeal. It maintains a fresh and funky place among dance music as a whole and doesn't compromise the art of music for anything.
