AllMusic Review by

Terrence Parker's debut album is an intriguing collection of tracks with many of the trademarks of house (piano lines, strings), though his ear for samples and wiggly basslines -- both equally infectious -- easily bring him into techno's territory. Besides uptempo selections like "Pure Disco" and "Piano Circus," Parker mixes the album up with the earthy grooves of the dowtempo-jazz song "A Track for O.J. Simpson (The Acquittal)" and the vaguely hip-hop "Plastic Soul Junkie."
