Total Togetherness Vol. 8 delivers a strong showing, providing a nice mix of conscious lyrics with straight-ahead dancehall, for a showcase of hot riddims and uplifting rhymes. This collection is so tight that it's hard to select stand-outs, but for rough and ready beats there's "Dirty Speech" by Alley Cat and "Tell Him Fi Leave" by General B. "Where Would You Go" by Luckie D, displays gorgeous harmony with postive lyrics and Capleton turns in a hypnotic conscous anthem with "True Love." For sheer innovation, check out Ghost's treatment of Le Ann Rimes' "How Could I Live Without You."
