Javelin celebrates the amazing music Ike and Tina Turner made together with Too Hot to Hold, a collection of the duo's less prominent recordings, but just because these songs, for the most part, aren't as well known as "River Deep Mountain High" or "Fool In Love," it doesn't mean that the songs collected here are any less potent. For instance, Tina's performance on the Ray Charles classic, "Fool for You", is unreal, and barely resembles the original. The compilation suffers a bit due to uneven sound quality, but as a starting point for the curious, the price is right, and the performances are top rate.
