Although his recording career peaked in the 1960s, Hawaiian singer Don Ho enjoyed a long-standing popularity until his death in 2007. His unique blend of exoticism, straight-up crooning, and laid-back geniality appealed to audiences worldwide, and his old-fashioned showbiz approach never fell out of favor. This 2003 compilation, reissued in 2008, gathers his best-known singles, including the signature tune "Tiny Bubbles," the dramatic "She's Gone Again," and a warm, slow reading of "Mele Kalikimaka" that puts a whole different spin on the Andrews Sisters/Bing Crosby classic.
