AllMusic Review by

Time of the Earth is a landmark DVD, sound and vision immersion experience from gifted filmmaker Steve Lazur and master soundscape composer Steve Roach. Beyond being an excellent, well-produced DVD full of beautiful desert stills of red rock peaks and stark barren landscapes, Time of the Earth is a great collection of Roach's work from a variety of recordings. There's work from his Projekt Records' releases Early Man, The Eternal Expanse, as well as compilation track from Projekt's Amplexus 1 recording. You can also find significant work from Roach's early Fortuna Records days, as well as multiple pieces from his own Timeroom Editions label, specifically, Atmospheric Conditions, Vine, Bark, and Spore, and The Dream Circle, not to mention there's even an excellently produced unreleased track on this recording as well, called "Sound of Stone." This is an excellent music release and an excellent DVD film. This is highly recommended for any fan of Steve Roach or Steve Lazur.
