Another potential masterpiece from Sensory goes down the toilet due to terrible vocals. If these guys created an instrumental album, they would have a brilliant debut; instead, they compromise their ultra-heavy progressive Dream Theater approach because of the pretentious Kermit the Frog-meets-Candlemass singing. In the bio, it says "original vocals," hmm, wonder what that means? Hailing from Denmark, the band wields their instruments with a technical and emotive style comparable to Psychotic Waltz, right down to the Buddy Lackey singing. The music, emotion, and concept are all on the heavy side; it is just too difficult to get past the aforementioned. Hopefully others can, since the band is rich with talent.
