Recorded in an intimate performance in Indiana in March 2000, the follow-up to the duo's fantastic The Lost Mariner CD from 1999 is an equally charming and subtle affair. Taking full advantage of the live ambience, the New York avant-garde guitarist Loren Mazzacane Connors and the Brise-Glase bassist Darin Gray stir up slow patterns of tone and harmonics in this eloquent improvisation session. Patiently transfiguring melodic phrases both in and outside of the blues formula, on this album the duo create a poetic album of intriguing string explorations that rank highly in their collectively vast repertoire.
