A beautiful testament to the human spirit is found here in The Word, a joyous, contemplative record created by Eddie Howard with the help of executive producer Paul Monea, co-producer Roger Hatfield and a solid, stirring backing choir. Brought to us in fine gospel fashion, this record is filled with light, inspiring the minds and hearts of the listener, and helping one to believe again. If the road has been long, if your heart is heavy, and you are filled with guilt, sadness, loss or pain, this is the one for you. Come Back Home shines with the resonance of that home feeling and family togetherness. Because of You takes the listener on a journey to High Power's sky, knowing that they will "never walk alone." Cool vibes can be felt on the percussive Abide with the phrase from the text John 15:57, "If ye abide in me, and my word abide in you, you can ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you." An uplifting album filled with stirring melodies and a gorgeous compelling choir, the performances get better and more enriching with each new listen. The contemplative work, Worthy is Your Name speaks for itself, and sets the tone for the melancholy songs of the record.

The bonus track, Highest Praise is set ablaze with praise and joy, completing the record in a bash of celebration. Listening to Eddie Howard and the gang is the perfect way to bring joy and inspiration into one's day. A hit and a classic 21st century gospel album.
