The Crabb Family has garnered multiple hits and awards since its musical inception in the mid-1990s, and THE WALK makes it clear why. The family's blend of Nashville gospel and rock & roll is instantly likeable, and in its patriarch, Gerald Crabb, the band has a songwriter with a solidly Christian message.
The Crabbs hit this message home over the course of an album that features such calls to arms as the rousing "Greater Is He," and the uplifting title track. "The Cross" is a meditation on the great Christian symbol and its relevance to modern life, while, lest things get too solemn, the fiddles on "You Let the Light Back In" serve to accentuate its uplifting, inspirational message. Similar in content, if not in style, to the more solidly traditional Gaither family, the Crabbs bring a fresh sound to faith-based country for those that don't lean towards the more strident sounds of Christian rock.
