AllMusic Review by

Wise Buy's Scaffold best-of is a bare-bones compilation, running only 35 minutes and including no annotations beyond song titles. But it manages to trace the comic pop/rock trio's career from 1966 to 1974, licensing its 12 original tracks from Parlophone Records. Those tracks include all five of the group's U.K. singles hits, "Thank U Very Much" (their sole U.S. chart entry), "Do You Remember," "Lily the Pink," "Gin Gan Goolie," and "Liverpool Lou." This is zany, British working-class musical humor, not perhaps on par with Monty Python's Flying Circus, but a worthy successor to the Goons and a good companion to the Bonzo Dog Band. And the highlights of the Scaffold's recordings are found here.
