AllMusic Review by

Before being known as Ricky Nelson's father, Ozzie Nelson was an enormously popular bandleader and vocalist playing light dance music with romantic or novelty themes. The Very Best of Ozzie Nelson, Vol. 1: 1932-1934 is a budget-priced, 25-track selection of either sweetly sentimental or downright goofy tunes, including "Headin' for a Weddin'," "I'm Dancin' on a Rainbow," "No One Loves Me Like That Dallas Man," and "What a Perfect Combination." The future Mrs. Ozzie Nelson, Harriet Hilliard, is also heard singing on several tracks.
