AllMusic Review by

Powered by the infectious single "Goldmouf," featuring guest raps by Bun B and Juvenile, the debut album by gangsta collective Ghetto Life is solid hardcore rap that doesn't bring much new to the party, but gets the job done. Opening track "Yup (We Ghetto)" marries a naggingly catchy vocal hook with statement-of-purpose lyrics, and later, "Fuck Y'All" features both a great shout-along chorus and a beat that sounds influenced by Timbaland. In between those highlights, the rest of the album swaggers along with some less inspired material, but there's very little actual filler here. In a nice touch, the now de rigeur "chopped and screwed mix" of the album is simply added to the end of this disc as bonus tracks rather than being issued on its own.
