The big band sound at its most pop-oriented, and perhaps its squarest, split about equally between instrumental and vocal efforts. It's far from the best compilation of this sort of thing, but it does have 14 tracks in the style from 1930 to 1950, including numbers by Jimmy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, Woody Herman, and Guy Lombardo. Featured vocalists include Perry Como and Eddy Howard.
