This string tribute to Kiss actually has pretty cool cover art for a budget release, incorporating violins into a graphic reminiscent of the band's famous face paint. That said, the chamber quartet versions of Kiss faves like "Detroit Rock City," "Strutter," "Love Gun," and "Rock & Roll All Night" have little connection to the originals. They're the chuckle-worthy equivalent of standing in an elevator and hearing a Muzak remake of a metal classic. Still, for completists planning on a Kiss-branded casket, this release is probably essential.
