The String Quartet Tribute to Faith Hill focuses mainly on the contemporary country vocalist's three crossover-minded albums, Faith, Breathe, and Cry, although "But I Will" dates to her 1994 debut and "It Matters to Me" sounds great as a violin-led instrumental. In fact, most of the material here translates quite well, simply because Hill's music has always favored strong melodies over Nashville formula rigidity. Other highlights include "The Way You Love Me" and "This Kiss." Not spectacular, but notable for Faith fanatics.
