This LP provides more in the superlative set of music from Mexico's National Institute of Anthropology and History. The Jaliscan performances range from boisterous small-town mariachi to solo voice and guitar, but is heavy on the violins and harps, mostly in rollicking duos and trios. Like all the volumes in the series, this is as outstanding for its musical quality as authenticity and rarity. Good Spanish-language notes are included.
