Just as the title suggests, The Singles is a best-of album from Niagara Falls rockers Honeymoon Suite. Their four best songs, "New Girl Now," "Burning in Love," "Wave Babies," and "Stay in the Light," are all present here, along with the mid-tempo "What does It Take" taken from the disappointing Big Prize album in 1986. Fans will enjoy this compilation since nothing is left out, and anyone wanting a one-stop intro to the band need only this album. "Lethal Weapon," used on the soundtrack from the movie of the same name, gave the a band a little bit of notoriety in the U.S., but that was short-lived. Every song here has its moments, and only one or two of them come up short. While the run-of-the-mill guitar and keyboard mix comprise Honeymoon Suite's sound, they still manage to convoke a sweet feel around a charging chorus in each of their tunes. The flute in "Love Changes Everything" is a nice touch on what would otherwise be a pasty song, and is one of the stand outs on this hits pack. There's just enough pizzazz stitched in to every tune to make this band one of the more appeasable ones that have long since dwindled from the 1980s.
