AllMusic Review by

During 1936-1939, the Saturday Night Swing Club was a popular weekly radio program that emphasized swing music. This LP from the collectors label Fanfare has highlights from some of the broadcasts with selections by trumpeter Bunny Berigan's Orchestra (four), Bobby Hackett's Dixieland band, Tommy Dorsey, Jack Teagarden with Paul Whiteman, Duke Ellington, Fats Waller (heard on "Hold My Hand" and in a rare duet with fellow pianist James P. Johnson on "I Found a New Baby"), the Jimmy Lunceford big band and Ella Fitgerald with Chick Webb's Orchestra. This valuable album is one for swing fans to search for.
