Chicago third wave ska outfit Doctor Manette's debut album, The Same Thing Over and Over, sets them apart from the rest of the ska pack with accomplished musicianship and arrangements that allow the group to show off their intricate interplay. Moreover, the songs are eclectic and generally well-written, and they're actually sung quite well (something one doesn't always hear in the world of third wave ska). It's everything you could ask from a debut album, and bodes very well for the band's future.
